Banff Morraine Lake For our summer vacation in July, 2000, we decided to go to Banff.  We arrived in a hail storm, and drove to Banff to find a fresh layer of snow everywhere.  It eventually warmed up (a bit).  We did some hiking and sight seeing.  Morraine Lake is an amazing shade of blue/green.  This picture doesn't do it justice. The Big Beehive The Big Beehive towers high above Lake Louise.  We decided to climb it.  We started early, since it was a full day's hike.  This picture was taken about half way up the trail.  The Lake Agnes Tea House The trail from Lake Agnes to the top The Tea House was a welcome sight half way up the Beehive.  After a lunch break (peanut butter and jam never tasted so good), we climbed on. Yes, we actually climbed this trail.  I can't believe we really did it.  The snow was still 6 feet deep in places on the trail.
